To make Tandoori chicken, one grills marinated chicken inside a vase-shaped oven called a Tandoor, which is normally made of clay and originated from the ancient Indus Valley, that stretches from northwest of India to Pakistan. Subsequently, the Tandoor also spread to other parts of India, Middle East, Central Asia and Horn of Africa.
